Thanks for being patient with us over the past few days. I know you have been waiting for updates...so here we go!!
The 99 girls kicked off the tour with a 4-1 win over Erith School from England. The girls played a great game, with the only goal against coming in stoppage time at the end of the game. The 97 girls played to a 2-2 tie to Vicenza Calcio, a local Italian team. It was a very competitive game, with the Italians bringing some girls down from their senior team to play in the match. Both teams showed very well. After the 97 game, Vicenza Calcio joined the girls and the staff for dinner. Everybody had a great time with the girls breaking the language barrier by the end of dinner, singing songs and laughing.
Between games the girls were able to take in some sights and do some shopping at Lazise and Sirmione. The girls entered Lazise by walking through a castle. They ate lunch at various Italian cafes and wandered through the small town. Sirmione was also filled with shops and more importantly, tons of places to get Gelato!!!
Welcome to our blog site for our annual ODP International Trip. We will be keeping you posted throughout the team's games and travel as they make their around Northern Italy. Grazie mille!

Bonjourno from Italy!!!!
I apologize for the delay but the internet connection here is spotty at best. Anyway, we all made it here safely. The kids did great despite the lack of sleep on an overnight flight! They got a little more cultural exposure in London due to an hour delay in our flight to Milan. We had a fairly short flight into Itlay with a beautiful view of the Alps as we flew over! I'll try and get a picture up tomorrow when the connection is hopefully better!
For those of you traveling and planning on watching the games, we've had to be flexible here on the first day. The 99 girls have had their game moved to 11:00 tomorrow, Tuesday, March 26th.
The address is as follows:
Stadio Communale
Via Bassa, 1
37066 Sommacampagna
Even though the flights were delayed, we managed to get into Milan. We were able see the oldest castle in Northen Italy, aptly named "The Castle"..... We also managed to get to the Doumo and wander around the square.
Pictures and more to follow tomorrow!
